The stabilizer is high power electro-hydraulic servo system. Due to noises(EMI) of the power system, the stability and efficiency of the control computer for the stabilizer system is critical to the safety of the ship motion. The real-time Linux operating system and an interface using RS-485 to communicate between the control computer and the electro-hydraulic servo system will be setup. We will also design a self-organize fuzzy controller to control the stabilizing fin in real time.
