Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 土木工程學研究所 === 89 === This research aims to analyze the influences of Advanced Traveler Information System (ATIS) on transit passengers based on different viewpoints of users, operators and society. There are three major subjects of the research:(1) the influences of dynamic information on passengers’ waiting feeling;(2) the influences of dynamic information on passengers’ willingness to pay for the information;(3) the influences of dynamic information on passengers’ value of time saved. The results show that during the off-peak period, the dynamic information significantly affects the passengers’ waiting feeling and it could make them feel better if they consider the dynamic information provided with help. The average willingness to pay for dynamic information is comparatively small. This result indicates that the passengers do not want to pay too much for the information. The value of time saved is various between the passengers who feel that the dynamic is helpful and those who feel helpless. Comparing with the passengers who do not know the dynamic information system, the value of time saved is 2%~16.2% decreased. This is the first time we try to evaluate the influences of ATIS on public transit passengers. It is believed that results of this study can be applied for benefit cost analysis of advanced traveler information system.
