碩士 === 國立海洋大學 === 系統工程暨造船學系 === 89 === It is important for enterprise to have the capabilities of managing information and capturing knowledge during the process of industry automation. The use of information portal is one of the most important methodologies to accomplish these goals. A lot of reports were published in this field. This paper will give a detail study about visualized information portal generation technology. In general, information in an enterprise includes documents and e-mail which are made of text, numbers, video, and image. There are also different kind application programs. Microsoft proposed the digital dashboard technology to let experienced user generating their own information portal where documents and programs can be viewed and executed respectively. Here we propose an improved procedure. The process uses lot of visualized technologies. By the end, a common user or management level person can create their own information portal easily. At first, the functions of viewing and executing are treated as web parts. Indeed every web part is a control component which can be used by internet Explorer. Every web part has the capabilities of size changing and interactive function between each other. In addition, every web part also has showing, remove, arranging, and recording function. By integrating all functions, the user can generate information portal thru a visualized process. Finally, the arranged layout of this information portal can be saved for future use.
