In other words, this study works on "the visualization of music": to express our emotional response to musical sounds through "color" and "shape." The objective is to invest visual communication with new "spiritual meanings." The topics of this study include the basic elements of music, aesthetic forms, and the relationship between music and visual design, in order to analyze the musical imagery of "shape" and "color." Moreover, other scholars'' works, both native and foreign, on the abstract expression of music will be also documented. Because there are already many works on the abstract expression of music, this study works on the "concrete" style of musical expression. The fundamental elements distilled from natural images will be interpreted and transfigured, to create special visual imagery and, hopefully, to bring the viewers into a different world of music. 蘇茂生 2001 學位論文 ; thesis 90 zh-TW
