Summary: | 碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 動力機械工程學系 === 89 === Man has been employing teleoperation equipment for executing many jobs, such as hazardous works, unknown territory exploration, etc. In the past, server and client configuration via specific connection media such as cables has been adopted for these applications. Recently, the Internet has gradually
evolved into teleoperation because of the capability in remote communication applications. Hence, teleoperation would be applied more widely and flexibly as a result of its open and multi-functional platform. However, embedded problems will still occur in the Internet applications due to random
time-delay, packet losses, and security invasion. Internet-based virtual factories will rely on web-based remote monitor and control equipments in order to connect specific factory sites located at different places around the world. Although the techniques for web-based remote control have been under
development, most of those are applicable to point-to-point operations, and unsuitable for the Internet-based virtual factory application.
The objective of this thesis is to develop a three-layer web-based remote monitor and control configuration, and then to pursue the concept of Internet virtual factory. As an illustration, the configuration has been applied in the injection molding process. Under the proposed structure,
data can be delivered and exchanged between product lines and various equipments. The proposed three-layer configuration consists of three basic modules: objects that defined as CNC machining centers or industrial controllers; servers that defined as the core of the system and control center; clients that defined as browsers in the world in need of production information. In this thesis, the prototype Internet configuration is constructed and verified in the injection molding process. As a further step, the inherent problems and possible solutions are resolved and tested. Through this prototype system, production planners can reach critical information and make prompt responses via the Internet. Eventually, business competition will be enhanced if information exchanging efficiency can be improved.
