Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東師範學院 === 國民教育研究所 === 89 === The main purposes of this study was to examine the relationship among students’ Type A behavior-the Type of power teacher use and perceived school stress . To serve the purpose ,1263 sixth grade students from Kaoshung area were surveyed. This study has come up with the following conclusions : 1.Girls scored significantly higher than boys on hard competitive and achievement behavior subscale of Type A behavior. 2.Students from large-sized schools scored significantly higher than students from small-sized schools on time urgency subscale of Type A behavior. 3. Significantly more students from small-sized schools perceived their teachers as highly remunerative、highly coercive or highly normative than students from large-sized schools. 4. Girls perceived significantly higher school stress than boys. 5. Students from large-sized schools perceived significantly higher school stress than students from small-sized schools. 6. Students with more Type A behavior perceived significantly higher school stress . 7.Students who perceived their teachers using more normative power- more coercive power or more remunerative power felt higher school stress. Based on the results of this study , the implications in education were discussed.
