Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 運輸與倉儲營運系 === 89 === Customer-driven logistical distribution plays a key role in the operations of business logistics. This is shown in the fact that the operations of demand chain management (DCM) have contributed greatly to the high improvements in logistical system performance in more and more logistical enterprises. This research investigates the applicability of a fuzzy clustering approach to dynamic classification of the end customers conducted prior to freight vehicular assignment in response to the short-term changes in the attributes as well as needs of the customers that will be served via the functionality of logistical distribution. The proposed fuzzy-clustering based approach is founded on the basis of two major procedures, including: (1) specification of the key customer-oriented attributes, and (2) development of fuzzy-based classification rules. In addition, the questionnaire survey will be conducted to calibrate as well as verify the applicability of the proposed method. It is expected that the proposed methodology can help the development of advanced strategies for logistical distribution and improve the competitiveness of logistical enterprises in Taiwan. More importantly, the fundamentals proposed in the study may provide new concepts to stimulate the development of further research in the fields of logistics as well as freight transportation.
