Then one can learn aesthetic interest from the concept of semiology which originates form “trail of wound” (傷痕), “reconsideration”(反思), ”revolution”(改革), “root searching”(尋根), and “pioneer”(先鋒).For instance, “trail of wound” belongs to sorrowful beauty, “reconsideration” is great grief, “revolution” is full of masculine, “root searching” contains surpassing style, and “pioneer” is some kind of grotesque. The author of this essay is expected to penetrate through the changing flow of society, revolution of literature, and transformation of aesthetics to observe the development of aesthetic fiction during the new age in mainland China. The main point of view is excerpted fromYeh Laang’s(葉朗) Chinese fictional Aesthetics(中國小說美學) as base to study fictional aesthetics in the angle of Philosophy, Psychology, and Sociology. From these rudimental elements (sociology and semiology) to extract the “study of dimensional of fictional aesthetics.” Literature sociology is aimed to observe the outer rim of the formation of the fictional trend. , While Literature semiology help analyze the interior layer of its system before when the aesthetic semiology of fictional trend is formed.
Each article in this essay is divided into three segments except for chapter one and chapter seven. Firstly, as for the main element that fictional trend was influenced by environment; it belongs to the outer observation. Next in order, through the analysis of structure, we can conclude that different novels, topics, characteristics, and stories during one period have had been changing ;owing to this reason that each time has different and special style of the trend of the thought. Thirdly, with the connotation of aesthetic trend, we can systemically divide form fictional structure into theree parts: out-layer structure, deep-layer structure, surpassing structure to form aesthetic semiololgy.
The surface structure is what we called “type”(類型或子題), it represents the various fiction in each period. While, deep layer structure is “motif.”(母題) The type is attached on the motif so it can be changed. But motif itself cannot be changed. Let’s take “trail of wound”(傷痕) for example;“trail of wound”(傷痕) is motif which is the deeper structure of all types of these novels. While in other works: Ban Juu Renn(班主任) ,Woo Shyh Shwei(我是誰), Chorng Forng (重逢), Ing Gai TzeenMoBann (應該怎麼辦) …etc. are belonging to “trail of wound”(傷痕) fiction and the “type.” It is this surface structure that subordinates the deeper structure of the “trail of wound” (傷痕) of trend. As for the surpassing structure, it belongs to the aesthetic state, however, it must be set up on both surface structure and deep-layer structure.
