Two study tools were developed in the research, including “School Buildings Satisfaction Questionnaire” and “School Buildings Circumstance Survey Form”. There were 766 copies of questionnaire totally issued, and 528 effective questionnaires were reclaimed. Survey forms were distributed to 82 schools for filling, and 62 forms were reclaimed. Interviews with school principals and directors from 8 schools were conducted. The resultant data was dealt and analyzed by statistical methods, such as, Frequency Distribution, Percentile, Standard Deviation, Mean, T-test, One-way ANOVA, then organized and categorized. The conclusions of the research: 1.The satisfaction of Hsinchu County elementary school teachers towards the circumstance of school buildings, either in whole or in part, was about in middle degree. 2.There were no significant differences in teachers’ sex or academic degree toward school buildings satisfaction. 3.There were significant differences in teachers’ seniority and duty toward school buildings satisfaction. 4.There were no significant differences in the area or age of schools toward teachers’ satisfaction of school buildings. 5.There was significant difference in schools’ size towards teachers’ satisfaction of school buildings. 6.The overall quantity and quality of school buildings for Hsinchu County elementary schools are unfavorable, and awaits improvement. 7.There is a need to reexamine and discuss the educational investments and administration by Hsinchu County in the elementary school buildings. Recommendation and suggestions are offered according to the findings for government, school administration, teachers, and future research.
