A single user environment does not fit to the digital age that follows the CALS strategy. Network technique was mature by the increasing of data transformation on the Internet. How to apply the XML technique to integrate IETM system effectively, decrease the development cycle and utilize IETM system permanently are critical tasks. The proposed integrated open system architecture solution was by the realistic experience. From the Internet data exchanged standard to IETM classified revise study. It results the revolution change of Internet IETM system. An IETM integrated architecture based XML technique is proposed by applying an object-oriented approach to analyze requirements of IETM systems. This study follows the spirit of the U.S. DoD Handbook for IETMs and U.S. Naval Aviation IETM interoperability project to construct both an XML-based IETM integrated architecture and a definition of IETM integrated architecture types for the development of Taiwan military IETM systems. A Prototype system is development also to verify the proposed architecture. This proposed XML-based IETM integrated architecture provides a solution for IETM system development under an open environment that may a good choice for Taiwan military in the age of E-Commerce and may bring the evolutional change of IETM development.
