碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育學系 === 89 === ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to investigate the computer literacy and to explore the factors that affect computer literacy of junior high school students in Middle Taiwan. Literature review was conducted to the purpose. The research instrument were the questionnaire of computer literacy about junior high school students. The samples consist of 1452 subjects from 40 schools in Middle Taiwan. They were selected by stratified random sampling techniques. t-test,One-way ANOVA were applied in the examination. The results are as follows: 1. Among all students, computer literacy of junior high school students in Middle Taiwan was good. 2. There were no significant differences in computer literacy between the male and female students. 3. Computer literacy of the private school students was better than the public school students. 4. On the topic of the backgrounds of computer learning, it depended on whether to join computer courses out of school, whether to play computer games, whether to own personal computer, and whether the computer can be connected to the web, the computer literacy of the student was different. Besides, if they own the reference books and magazines about computers, and how often to use the computer each week were also with regard to the differences in their computer literacy. 5. In the family background respect, it depended on the parents’ educational level and whether to support them to learn about computers, the computer of them showed the significant differences. Furthermore, if the students can discuss about the computer questions with others in their family will affect their computer literacy.
