A Study of the Construct and Confirm the Linear Relation Structure among Personality Trait, Self-As—Entertainment, Leisure Participation and Leisure Satisfaction

Different personality traits involve various of leisure attitudes, affecting leisure participation and leisure satisfaction. Free time increases but leisure quality is low at two days of holidays of each week and leisure education needs to be improved urgently in Taiwan. There were 439 of elementary school students fifth and sixth grade in Taipei County used as the subjects,Stratified random cluster sampling method was used. The data was analyzed by Linear Structure Relation（LISREL） statistics analysis method and results as follows： 1. Internal-external control personality trait affected leisure participation：Personality trait didn’t affected leisure participation and there was no goodness of fit between sample and submodel in elementary school students. 2. Self-as-entertainment affected leisure participation：Self-as-entertainment affected leisure participation positively and there was goodness of fit between sample and submodel in elementary school students. 3. Self-as-entertainment affected leisure satisfaction：Self-as-entertainment affected leisure satisfaction positively and there was goodness of fit between sample and submodel in elementary school students. 4. The relationship among self-as—entertainment, leisure participation and leisure satisfaction：Self-as-entertainment affects leisure participation and leisure satisfaction positively. When self-as- entertainment were controlled, elementary school students leisure participation affects leisure satisfaction negatively. There was goodness of fit between samples and submodels by modified model （χ2∕df＝3.0；RMSEA =0.068；GFI＝0.93；NFI＝0.93；AGFI＝0.90；CFI＝0.96； Standardized RMR＝0.05）. Finally, discussions and suggestions on leisure property and leisure education were based on results of the study. Future research of suggestions were also discussed in the study.
