The study was to explore assessment and strategy for risk management in sport industry. The findings were as follows: 1.The method of risk identification included: questionnaire approach, financial statement method and flow-chart method. 2.Risk could cause four kinds of loss risk in sport industry: liability loss risk, personal loss risk, property loss risk and income loss risk. 3.Risk control strategies of sport industry could be categorized as risk avoidance, loss control, segregation and contractual transfer-control type. 4.Risk financing strategies of sport industry could be categorized as risk retention and non-insurance transfer. 5.In Taiwan, there are many kinds of sport insurance need to be developed. 6.The government, sport industry and exporters have to work with the regulation of sport insurance collectively. 7.The academics in the field of physical education should extend the risk management of sport industry. 8.The government should gather insurance company, insurance scholars and scholars of physical education to investigate the sport insurance.
