Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立體育學院 === 體育研究所 === 89 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference of athletic standard and athletic identity on the sport-related graduating students in anxiety of pre-occupational career polices and coping strategies. The sample consisted of 421 graduating students(250 males, 171 females, mean age 23.32, SD=2.85)from the athletics-related departments which were established longer in northern Taiwan. Independent sample two-way ANOVA and one-way ANOVA were used for the statistical examination. The results were as follows: 1. The influence of the sport-related graduating students’ athletic standard and athletic identity on anxiety of pre-occupational career polices. There was no interaction between the sport-related graduating students’ athletic standard and athletic identity and anxiety of pre-occupational career polices, but athletic standard has primary effects in anxiety of pre-occupational career polices. The research suggested that the athletes who had participated in the Region/National Sports and had been collegiate representatives had higher sense of anxiety when facing pre-occupational career polices. And, the participants who had been representatives in national teams had lower sense of anxiety when facing the same situation. Furthermore, participants with high athletic identity had higher sense of anxiety than those with middle/low athletic identity when facing pre-occupational career polices. 2. The influence of the sport-related graduating students’ athletic standard and athletic identity on coping strategies. There was no interaction between the sport-related graduating students’ athletic standard and athletic identity and the coping strategies used during the pre-occupational period. However, athletic standard has primary effects in emotional support of coping strategies used during the pre-occupational period, so does athletic identity in acceptance & maturing, scheduling, seeking for specific support, positive action, negative action, emotional support and psychological relief. 3. Difference of athletic identity of the sport-related graduates’ with different athletic standard. The participants with different athletic standard reached significant difference in athletic identity. Athletic identity of the participants who had been representatives of National/ Regional Sports or collegiate team were higher than those who had been representatives of high school teams or who was not a member of athletic teams before. Based on the results, applications of this study were discussed and suggestions for future research were proposed as well. Key Words: athletic level, athletic identity, anxiety of pre-occupational career polices, coping styles.
