Weight lifting contains two competitions: the snatch and clean & jerk. As the science and technology make progress, weight lifting has become stronger in Taiwan and earned a high reputation in the world.

There are six chapters in this report. The first chapter introduces weight lifting history, the present weight lifting status and women''s weight lifting development. Chapter two reveals the skills of snatch and the clean & jerk. Chapter three talks about the effects and methods of physical conditioning, the development of maximum muscular strength and special aids to movements. Chapter four covers training plan of weight lifting. Chapter five discusses the physiological characteristics of women''s weight lifting, its training, and nutrition and weight control. Chapter six is conclusion. I hope this report provides some references to weight lifting fans and weight lifters.
