Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 醫學工程研究所 === 89 === It is useful to simplify the “markers set” and “experiment procedure” of motion analysis using the “Flock of birds” (the Bird) electromagnetic tracking device. The Bird can track six degree-of-freedom positions and orientations. We developed a kinematics model to analyze the motion of upper extremity using four receivers one each on the thorax, upper arm, forearm, and hand, respectively, and one transmitter. Anatomic landmarks were digitized first at neutral position to define each segmental anatomical coordinate system, so that the transformation matrix between the receiver on each segment and its anatomical coordinate system could be derived. Then, the joint angles of shoulder, elbow, and wrist were calculated using Euler’s angle. Finally, the feasibility of the Bird was validated with comparison of seven controlled movements to the 6-cameras video motion analysis in kinematics of upper extremity. And the kinematics of wheelchair propulsion measured by the Bird was also presented in this study.
