The surrounding temperature was controlled at 24℃ and the heat power input was varied from 60W~100W. Experiment results indicated that the heat transfer performance is as follows: heat pipe > solid aluminum > hollow copper. Shell and tube heat exchanger part: This software was written by the Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 language and can be run in any personal computer. The software has the following two functions: (1) Real-time monitoring system-prediction of the performance of a Shell and Tube heat exchanger when the dimensions are given. Finned-tube air cooler part: Three finned-tube air coolers of different tube materials were tested: heat pipe, solid aluminum and hollow copper tubes, respectively.
