Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 電機工程學系 === 89 === Nowadays, people can easily obtain all sorts of information from the Internet, ranging from electronic news, advertising brochures, technical documents, and also artistic products. HTML is the language used to present those Web pages. Although the simplicity of HTML has fueled the growth of Internet, its function is limited to presentation. With the rapid growth of Internet, HTML has become inadequate for many applications. Therefore a new standard, XML, for its simplicity, standardization, and extensibility, has been adopted. XML enables a new generation of Web-based data viewing and manipulation applications, and increases the benefits provided by the Web. Hence we design an XML-based Information Server, and develop some tools and system support for data entry and system management. By means of the tools, information providers can easily input data into the Information Server. In this way, it can be stored a great amount of resources. Since then, XML has many advantages that can be explored, such as precise searching, application integration, etc. In this thesis, we focus on the tools for data importing. Related technologies will be introduced, and how the system is designed and implemented will be thoroughly explained.
