Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 教育研究所 === 89 === The purpose of this study was to explore the life adjustment of junior high school and elementary school students. For the purpose of the study , qualitative research was also used.
In quantitative research , “Junior High School and Elementary School Students’ Life Adjustment Inventory” was adopted as the measurements.1039 students were sampled from junior high school and elementary schools in Taiwan. Data were analyzed by t-test、one-way ANOVA and Pearson Correlation. In qualitative research , 4 junior high school students and 4 elementary school students were interviewed.
The findings of this study were as follows:
1. The junior high school and elementary school students were better on family adjustment, and were poorer on personal adjustment.
2. Different gender had significantly difference on life adjustment、school adjustment and interpersonal adjustment, and female students scored higher than male students.
3. Different grades had significantly difference on life adjustment、family adjustment and school adjustment, and 5th-grade elementary school students scored higher than 2nd-grade、3rd-grade junior high school students.
4. Different school scale had no significantly difference on life adjustment.
5. Different family structure had significantly difference on life adjustment、family adjustment、school adjustment and interpersonal adjustment ,and students come from complete family structure scored higher than those come from incomplete family structure.
6. Academic achievements had correlation on life adjustment ,but it’s lower to explain.
7. It was important for person adjustment to decide life adjustment.
8. School adjustment had close related with schoolwork pressure.
According to these findings, some suggestions for educational guidance, and educational administration were proposed. Moreover, recommendations for further studies were offered in this dissertation.
