In Taiwan, air transportation demand has increased quickly because of the ground traffic has being congested. A vast increasing flight has resulted in serious flow problems. To improve air traffic near terminal control area for Taipei/Sung Shun Airport, an arrival scheduling has become very important to ease flow control and smooth the approach and take-of sequencing.
In fact, the arrival scheduling problem means how to arrange the arrival aircraft one after another until a final sequence is established to the final approach fix by satisfying the separation minimum. In the thesis, we formulate a simple and easy algorithm for sequencing arrival aircraft by considering safety separation both in approach and take-off. Simulation following present flight schedules is demonstrated. Feasibility analysis is discussed.
