However, no related documents that explore the relationship between CTM's compression mold velocity and part quality are available. In this study, the efforts were devoted to the investigation of the compression pressure of the part quality in CTM. The second part of this study also wishes to estimate the CTM's filling time in order to determine the right moment for compression action. Two major experiments are conducted in this study, one utilizes on air-bag aided large-size mold to analyze the effect of compression velocity on the quality of the products. Different degrees of air-bag's pressure were used for compression action to evaluate its effect on product quality. The second test was similar to the first, but used the filling pressure as the control factor instead. The recorded filling times for different filling pressures was used to compare with the predictions of a proposed model developed to evaluate the filling time.
