In this Laboratory we have the following systems: (i)SMOKE (Surface Magnetic Optic Kerr-Effect measurement), (ii)MBE (Molecular Beam Epitaxy), (iii)Surface Analysis (LEED, RHEED, AES,…etc), (iv)Spin Polarized Beam Source and Electron Spin Polarimeter. In this thesis, I finish two accomplishments. (1)The unification of Laboratory Automatical Control and (2)Crystal Surface Image Analysis. This work will enhance and extend our laboratory cabability. 1.The Systematic Unification of Laboratory Control and Data Analysis: We modify a commercial software, combine with interface card and laboratory instruments to do several measurements in a simple and unify way. This system is based on GPIB(IEEE-488), DAC, ADC, and Digital I/O. In the part of laboratory control, we apply the commercial software “LabVIEW” to develop our own programs for laboratory control and data analysis. First, we apply it in SMOKE system, we will extend this system to other measurement systems. 2.Crystal Surface Image Analysis: We will take the pictures of LEED, RHEED and Surface Scanning Information of crystal surface in vacuum. We will do image analysis and image showing for different purposes. This picture can be in different modes: static or fast shot, crystal surface fixed point or surface scanning.
