Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 土木工程學系 === 89 === Various methods of spatial interpolation provide solutions to the problems of determining values of thematic attributes at unsampled sites and the representative continuous surface from discrete sample data with ramdom and nonuniform distribution in scientific and engineering fields. Furthermore, problems also exist in how to choose appropriate interpolation method and the assessment of interpolation according to the physical characteristics and spatial distributions of the thematic attributes. This paper investigates the relationships between spatial indices and the adoption of interpolation method. Sixteen groups of data from field surveying, topographic maps digitiztion and random function are examined by analyzing their characteristics in spatial distribution via spatial indices, followed by grid elevation determination using five commonly used interpolation methods respectively. Check points are preserved to evaluate the precision and fitness of interpolations. The relationships among spatial indices and methods of interpolation of these data groups are finally analyzed for deducting suggestions in choosing appropriate interpolation from spatial indices.
