The total number of commercial banks, from 25 units in 1991 to 52 units in 1999, as well as the branch’s no. from 1400 to 2500. The increasing range is amazing and the competition among each other is getting more and more white-hot. Owing to the information technology brings the impact to the industry structure and the product life circle becomes shorter, so industry structure becomes weaker and hence can’t afford the economics environment changes. After experiencing the Asia’s financial turmoil, many companies went bankrupt because of financial difficulties. Under such an abominable environment the PDO (past due obligation) ratio arises successively. In order to control the PDO ratio, the main tasks for the banking industry is to promote the Debt-collector performance and satisfaction. The research also designs questionnaires according to research structure, so as to realize the job characteristics, employee personalities and job satisfaction of current Debt-collector in the banking industry, further to probe into the relationship among them and provides the results to the industry for their reference to improve the operation regulation and to select a suitable person. The dimension of job characteristics in the questionnaires consisted of five items as autonomy, identity, feed back, importance and variety; the dimension of employee personalities based on five items as locus of control, achievement orientation, authoritarianism, machiavellianism and risk taking; the dimension of job satisfaction consisted of two items as internal satisfaction and external satisfaction. Adopt analysis measures of SPSS statistics software, from the research results, there was a positive relationship between job characteristics and job satisfaction, but in which task important items are not reaching an obvious standard; there was also a positive relationship between employee personalities and job satisfaction, but in which authoritarianism and risk taking items were a negative relationship . Besides, the gender and task identity item of job characteristics are reaching an obvious level; age and the risk taking of employee personalities had a clearly difference; gender to internal satisfaction and age to internal satisfaction had a clearly difference also.
