Description
Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 電機工程學系 === 89 === This thesis designs an Static Var Compensator (SVC) controller in order to improve the power system stability. It starts with the introduction of the fundamental principle and structure of the SVC. Next, consider a synchronous generator connected to infinite bus, in which the SVC was installed in the middle point of transmission lines. The SVC’s influence on power system stability has been investigated accordingly. Four controllers are designed in this thesis. They are Proportion(P), Proportion-Difference(PD),Proportion-Integral(PI), and Proportion -Difference-Integral(PID). In controller design process, the pole-placement method based on linear system theory is used to determine the proper control gains. Computer simulation results show that the PD controller can achieve good damping performance and power system stability improvement.
