All universities are trying their best in market segmentation and diversification in order to attract the most qualifying students. And hence this study tries to understand the studying motivation, criteria in selecting school, the actual feeling after being admitted and intention of continual studies of the current EMBA students. The obtained results should be good guidelines for universities who offer EMBA programs in designing their recruiting and marketing strategies. The research finding indicates that we can divide the EMBA students into external factor oriented and self-oriented subgroups according to their studying motivation. As to the issue of reviewing relevant information about EMBA programs, the primary sources are program pamphlets and internet. The major criteria in selecting an EMBA programs are university reputation and its distance between school and home. In terms of the preference about programs requirements, the top three determining factors are tuition, minimum credit hours required for graduation and minimum/maximum studying years. Almost all EMBA students agree that harmonious atmosphere is the best studying feeling about their EMBA programs. They also agree that the supporting administrative activities are the issues need to be greatly improved. The majorities of the EMBA students have studying troubles and hope school can provide supports in lengthening studying times and having flexibility in selecting courses. Finally, more than half of the EMBA students have no intention of continuing their studies in another program. 李天行 2001 學位論文 ; thesis 95 zh-TW
