Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 機械工程學系 === 89 === In this thesis, we present a cutter-feeding path planning for quadrilateral plane surface machining using a milling machine. Since the way of cutter feed impact the time and quality of machining, it is important to find an optimal cutter-feeding path. In the following discussion, regardless of the detail machining process, we assume that the shortest cutter -feeding path is optimal. We adopted the staircase technique in which the plane is first partitioned to many layers, then each layer is machined sequentially. The staircase machining had been successfully applied on triangular plane. In this paper, we extend the technique to quadrilateral plane machining. In the approach, the quadrilateral plane is first divided into two triangular planes. These two triangular planes are then machined by staircase method in sequence. We focus our discussion on the choice of a good quadrilateral partition in order to obtain the shortest cutter-feeding path.
