During 1996 and 1998, it's growing up fast from NT$58.1 billion to NT$100.5 billion with +30% average fluctuation. The industry didn't grow fast like former day since 1999, cause of the extending and price war. And to be in adverse circumstances, it's necessary to demand immediate attention on produce and process capability in itself for the target to be perpetual operating. Recently, all electric products are made lighter, thinner, smaller, and high integrated. So that the aspect ratio that company can reach has already become an important index for customers. At main time, the aspect ratio that widespread use is about 4:1 to 6:1. The factories have no alternative till new technology is developed, and bow before the process of low yield and high cost. This study using Taguchi method with S/N ratio and ANOVA analysis practically on printed circuit board manufacturing. And raise the aspect ratio to 8:1 for mass production. F. T.
