We perform the test by different condition of protection range in clear water discharge flume at the hydraulic laboratory of Feng Chia University to see the sediment transportation before and after the structure are placed. The results show that reducing the distance between the consolidation works have effectively restrained and stabilizing the bed load and thus decreasing the erosion of channel bed. On the experimental analysis for full river length protection we found the rate of relative erosion and its relative distance between the consolidation works is It means that the larger ratio of relative distance between the consolidation works have the smaller relative erosion rate. It shows shorter the distance of consolidation works the erosion rate of channel bed will be smaller too. During the half section protection experimental analysis we have the result that gradually reducing the distance of upstream consolidation works the bed load erosion will be increased. It proofs that partly establishment of consolidation works the interval has a certain degree of influence on the downstream erosion. According to the above mentioned study when we know the protection range of consolidation works and fixed slope gradient of channel bed as well as all kind of condition of building the consolidation works and focus on the relation of interval of the consolidation works also the average rate of erosion we can rebuild the sediment transportation of bed load on the existing protection structure. We found that the best interval length is 4-10 times the width of general flow channel.
