碩士 === 大葉大學 === 事業經營研究所 === 89 === The purposes of the study were to examine the relationships the conflict handling behavior and the birth order as well as gender of group members Both the conflict handling styles and intensity were studied, in addition to three types of satisfaction, including satisfaction with decision-making process, the communication style and the leadership, that were assessed Using college students as the sample and groups as the unit of analysis , the study revealed the following findings: (1)first borns and late-borns were found to be statistically significant in terms of these conflict handling styles and intensity; (2)Gender was also found to be significant with regard to the conflict handling behavior; (3)There was a strong correlation between the conflict handling styles and there intensity; (4)The intensity of conflict was closely related to the satisfaction with the decision making process and the communication styles Key Words : Group , Conflict handling style, Birth order, Gender Satisfaction
