Especially, the long-period fiber grating has been proved to be a useful component for source stabilization. In this work, the LPG was fabricated by “point by point” exposure of the dual band 325/442 nm, continuous wave He-Cd laser, substituting the conventional high power excimer laser with 248 nm. The spectral characteristics of the fiber grating, which are correlated to the parameters, such as the refraction change index, grating period, exposure time, and length, has been throughly studied. Moreover, the IFO-Gratings software was used for the design of LPGs and CODE V software has been used to optimize optical instrumentation for producing the LPGs.
