Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 土木工程研究所 === 89 === The current seismic design code in Taiwan are laid out through a strength demand requirement. The code has contained ductility demand but doesn’t consider the local effects in Taiwan. The strength reduction coefficient is considerd the relations to the ductility capacity, but it is not clearly about the relationship between the ductility capacity and the ductility demand. In this study, we hope to get the inelastic uctility response spectra, based on the strong motion data in Chi-Chi earthquake, by using the nonlinear analysis of SDOF system. Finally, we use the method of optimal to get the relation between design strength and ductility demand. Besides, this study also considers the ductility demand in different hazards according to the Performance-based design of building. In order to understand the relationship and the influence, we compare the ductility demand at hard soil sites, intermediate soil sites, soft soil sites and Taipei basin region. In order to get ductility demand that correspond to the sites character in Taiwan, we hope to conclude the relation between the ductility capacity defined in the code and the ductility demand of the building
