碩士 === 中國醫藥學院 === 醫務管理研究所 === 89 === In the past, the administration of the hospitals inspected their operations through the analysis of financial reports and operation reports. With the changing of payment system of insurance such as the global budget, the information gained from reports could not satisfy the needs of the managers of hospitals. Even using the software of trial balance tools, this method will also causes much delay of gaining information. The Decision Support System (DSS) or Excutive Information Systems (EIS) applied to businesses usually speeds up the steps to get the information from reading paper reports into getting related desired information from the terminal. This study developes a DSS for hospitals that can analysis each operation indicators in the condition of limiting information derived from Hospital Information System (HIS). The system retains the function of information retrieval of DSS but also have the ability of self-learning to adapt its advices by applying the decision methodology. Through the abilities of integrated analysis and collecting data, the system is helpful to discover and resolve questions for managers. With the skill of data warehouse, system provides multi-dimensions and multi-levels analysis; with the decision methodology, the system provides appropriate advices to users; and with the abilities of self-learning, the system can work like an expert system to modify the contents of advices in response to the variation of medical sphere.
