Summary: | 碩士 === 長庚大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 89 === When faced with likely process condition changes such as process stream flowrate and stream temperature variations, whether a designed heat exchanger network can tolerate such changes and exhibits operational resilience is a practical and important problem. The objective of this study is then to look into this heat exchanger network design problem and to synthesize optimal networks, taking energy efficiency and process resilience into consideration.
For this combinatorial optimization problem, the synthesis methodology is built based on a stochastic optimization model, which incorporates mathematical programming methods such as linear programming and mixed-integer linear programming techniques into the solution framework. Results show that it can be used to obtain optimum resilient network configurations, giving us a useful tool to quickly synthesize and design such networks.
