Summary: | 碩士 === 長庚大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 89 === In this research, the treatment of heavy metal wastewater with low copper concentration by a eletrochemical membrane process is investigated. For the removal of copper, the operating factors(electrode types、constant voltage、cathode and anode distance、hydraulic retention period、reaction methods、economic effect) are evaluated. Copper sulphate wastewater contains copper concentration of 200 ppm is used. The K172 type cation exchange membrane in the eletrochemical membrane process is used for the removal of Cu. The removal efficiency is about 97﹪when the operation conditions of batch reactor are controlled by 50 V、cathode and anode distance left/right 4.5/4.5(cm). The current efficiency decreases with Cu removing and operating voltage increasing. The result also shows the removal efficiency of Cu increases with operating voltage increasing.
The removal efficiency of copper can reach 99.7﹪when the operating conditions in the continuous reaction process are hydraulic retention period 2hr、constant voltage 60V、platinum net electrodes、cathode and anode distance left/right 4.5/4.5(cm) and reaction time 7hr. But its current efficiency is lowest and electric power has a maximum. Because reactor temperature will increase during long reaction time in open system, ;a half-batch reaction system is used for reducing the cation exchange membrane fouling on anode room and for increasing the current density. The half-batch reaction system for the removal of Cu in effluents is better than that of continuous reaction system. To consider economic efficiency, the operating conditions in the eletrochemical membrane process are half-reaction system、constant voltage 40V、hydraulic retention period 2hr and reaction time 24hr. The copper concentration in effluents for this process should achieve emission standard. Furthermore, the current efficiencies are better than those of other operating conditions(the removal of Cu 98﹪、current efficiency 5﹪).
