Our Abia Cadabia prototype class algebra database system allows the sharing of the class hierarchy of object-oriented programming. The users can use the IS-A hierarchy to classify their data for easy retrieval by themselves or by others. Besides, a class algebra database system allows one user to import another user’s query and class definitions to classify his own objects. We have developed a graphic user interface for client side to generate class algebra queries to the server side. It provides an environment for retrieving data through binary relations rather than by using relational database joins. By the declaration of a domain and range, users can define binary relations for more precise constraints. Daniel J. Buehrer 貝若爾 2001 學位論文 ; thesis 36 en_US |
