To examine the situation of equality educational opportunity of preschool, I will adopt this indicator to discuss the issue. Firstly, I want to discuss the definition and the importance of equality of educational opportunity and the recent establishment of preschool educational indicators. Adopting this method, there will be three aspects for me to survey the real condition of preschool education in Chai-yi county and Chai-yi city. The three aspects are─the initiation, the processes, and the results. As for equality of educational opportunity, its three performing parts have each passive and active sides. Constructing the equity of preschool educational opportunity indicators, I ask the information from the experts out of preschool education, educational indicators and equity of educational opportunity, and these experts gave me some suggestions, and helped me to revise and make sure what are indicators. By using my survey and other Secondary Survey database, I can just take advantage of the indicators to examine the real condition of preschool education in Chai-yi county and Chai-yi city. And my interviewer includes chiefs, teachers and administrators of the kindergartens. The results of this thesis are as follows: 1.Recently, most of the educational indicators of preschool stresses on the quality of teaching and courses. Instead, these indicators seldom mention the idea of educational opportunity equity. 2.Most of statistics database in our country are the presentation of low data, and they do not have systematic explanation. 3.The initiation, the processes, and the results are my three aspects of indicators. As for educational opportunity, its three performing parts have each passive and active sides. 4.The amounts of kindergartens are different because of the developing of Chai-yi county and Chai-yi City. Hence, such a result has an effect on equity of educational opportunity. From the above, the researcher offers the following suggestions: 1. Suggestions for Educational Administrative Institutions a. It is important for them to collect and reorganize current data of preschool educational indicators or educational statistics. Moreover, they also have to establish and gather other important indicators. Then, there will be organic and systematic indicators. b. To know the development of educational opportunity equity of preschool, it is important to trace the meaning of those equity indicators continuously. 2. Suggestions for Future Researchers a. There will be a development of the opportunity equity model. b. There should be some tools to measure preschool education’s product. c.
