Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 89 === In recent years, the problems concerning the environment and solid waste management have created much interest in the development of biodegradable plastics. PHBV is a thermoplastic that has biodegradable and biocompatibility characteristics. PHBV can be synthesized and accumulated as carbon source and energy in the numerous bacteria. In the study, the Alcaligenes eutrophus was cultured in the batch reactor. Butyric acid (BA) and valeric acid (VA) were used as carbon source and ammonium sulfate as a nitrogen source. By changing the C/N ratio in the medium, the effects of different C/N ratios on the PHBV production and mole fraction of HV unit in the PHBV are investigated. The results show that the mole fraction of HV unit in the PHBV is about 30% and when the C/N ratio is in the narrow range, the mole fraction of HV doesn't change a lot. Then the C/N ratio was fixed and the mole fraction of BA to VA was changed. The mole fraction of HV unit in the PHBV was increased from 17% to 55%, i.e. the mole ratio of valeric acid is getting high, the mole fraction ratio of HV unit in the PHBV will increase. In conclusion, the larger range of mole fraction of HV unit can be rearched by adjusting the mole fraction of valeric acid in the medim.
