This research first investigated the preference level of visual image from visual environment through junior highs, senior-highs and college students, and society people and then students received professional design training and the decision-makers of the amusement park would select better color coordinate combinations among the investigation results; and would use computer to plane simulate the color coordinate to find out the principles of color application. These principles may become references for the practices of visual communication design and for the color planning of a theme park. The designing and the result of this research are as follows: I. Research Items Three symbolic areas of Janfusan Fancy World: 1. Entrance Service Area — wicket kiosk. 2. Theater Area — Nice Cinema Theater. 3. Mechanical Amusement Area — Sky-Scarper Plaza. II. Steps And Methods (1) The First Stage (Collect the linguistic-based image scales of the amusement park) 1.1 Investigation method: Based on relevant documents and records to collect adjectives. 1.2 Candidates of this test will choose 15 groups of adjectives that express their feeling to the testing areas. (2) The Second Stage (First part Single color card choice) 2.1 Color Card Choice Method: Investigate the preference level to the spatial colors of each area. 2.2 Under light source C, candidates of this test will choose 15 colors that can best symbolize the testing areas. 2.3 According to the ratio of the colors being chosen, pick the top 10 ones as the investigation basis of multi-color coordinate combinations for the second part. The second stage (Second part Investigate the Images of multi-color coordinate combinations) 2.4 Divide the results of the second stage by 10 colors in one group up to 15 groups. From the evaluation analysis of the 15 groups’ color coordinate combinations, the students that have received professional training of color art and the decision-makers of Janfusan Fancy World will find out the best color combination. (3) The Third Stage (Computer simulation with image setting) 3.1Semantic Method 3.2 Conduct plane-simulation by computers on the best color coordinate combinations in different color ratio, then proceed figure image test and feeling test. Ⅱ III. Results (1) The First Stage (Collect the linguistic-based image scales of the amusement park) Customers’ feeling toward Entrance Service Area — wicket kiosk is “friendly”, Theater Area — Nice Cinema Theater is “scientific”, and Mechanical Amusement Area — Sky- Scarper Plaza is “happy”, where we understand that general customers can clearly distinguish the visual spatial color in an amusement park. (2) The Second Stage (Color Card Choice — Preference level of visual spatial color) Preference level to visual spatial color varies distinctly by ages. (3) The Third Stage (Test of color coordinate image simulation) This research found that in the investigation of figure simulation of color coordinate combinations, figure 6 of Nice Cinema Theater (red as the key tone in color coordinate), figure 5 (balance color coordinate), and wicket kiosk figure 4 (blue-purple as the key tone in color coordinate) perform best. However, according to the results of spatial image investigation of the first stage, the rate of “scientific” being chosen highly for what Nice Cinema Theater and Mechanical Amusement Area — Sky- Scarper Plaza should project. This leads to the results of the third stage: figure 5 (red-orange, yellow-green, and blue-purple are balance color coordinate), figure 6 (red as the key tone in color coordinate), and figure 8 (blue-purple as the key tone in color coordinate) of Nice Cinema Theater; figure 9 (red as the key tone in color coordinate), figure 10 (yellow as the key tone in color coordinate), figure 11 (blue-purple as the key tone in color coordinate), and figure 12 (synthetic and balance color coordinate) of Sky- Scarper Plaza are scientific color coordinate figure. Generally speaking, colors that can express the feeling of happy, fun, and climax carry the key tones with attribute of red, orange, and yellow, and all are high brightness colors.
