In the recent years, many foreign researches about the supplier selection criteria of supply chain management has been conducted. But few researches are conducted in this area in Taiwan. Therefore this research will investigate the supplier selection criteria used by domestic industries, which join the Corporate Synergy Development (CSD) . In this research, the automobile, motor, bicycle and computer industries are investigated. The first purpose of this research is to find out the new supplier selection criteria used by domestic industries under the supply chain management. The second purpose of this research is to investigate the differences of the weights of the new supplier selection criteria between the companies that join the CSD system and the companies that do not. The third purpose of this research is to compare the differences of the weights of the new supplier selection criteria between the tier1 company and the tier2 company in the automobile, motor and bicycle industries that join the CSD system. The final purpose of the research is to compare the differences of the weights of the new supplier selection criteria between the hi-technology and traditional industries. Based on the 23 indices of Dickson''s research and the indices of other research, and the opinions of experts in supplier selection in Taiwan, the research summarizes the new supplier selection criteria and develops the questionnaire. Experts in the above mentioned industries were asked to fill the questionnaire. The investigation results were first analyzed by the Factor analysis to extract the critical criteria, and to build the criteria hierarchy. Then another questionnaire based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was developed and used to investigate the weights of the criteria in the above mentioned industries. This research finds out that all of the mentioned industries are considering "Quality" as the most important supplier selection criteria. The tier2 industries of the CSD system and the companies that do not join the CSD system are considering "Cost" as the second important supplier selection criteria. However, the tier1 companies of the CSD system put less emphasis on "Cost". The weights of the supplier selection criteria between the Hi-technology and traditional industries are not significantly different in Taiwan.
