During the searching and investigating process, the practical manufacture can establish the unique style and then rectify the creative origin. From the transition of the dragon image, we can see the Shang-Chou totemism of the primitive society. During the later period between the Chou dynasty and the establishment of Chin State, dragon had become the emblem of the Emperor. Until now, dragon is the auspicious symbolization for the Chinese people. According to the thread of historical thoughts and the analysis of the dragon figure, sketch, model and the dragon features on the silverware from Shang-Chou Dynasty to Tang Dynasty, it shows that Chinese are the successors of the dragon. Tracing back the Chinese history, the craft is closely bound up with people's life, with the exquisite grand occasion. Thus, how to present the beauty of the craft in metal containing the epochal spirits is my ultimate goal. Try to integrate the antiquity with the modern silverware to show the vitality of the craft nowadays. The key point for craft creation is to have the techniques in mind. With cautious manufacturing process, clearly present the features of the creations. The steadiness and mildness of the silver highlight the distinguishing characteristics. Different materials create different kind of power and beauty. The succinctness of silverware of my design is both functional and decorative, sketching the contours of extremely expansive prospect by simply presenting the power. "Dragon" stands for the existence of the Chinese. It is also the destination for the modern technical creation. Making progressing with the Chinese history, the dragon symbolizes the long-standing succession. It is an unfailing motive force, inspiring me to keep on creating persistently and zealously.
