(2) examined self work and growth during the process of this client research. This research was a case study, takes a 5-grade elementary Selective Mutism girl as the client and used developmental art therapy as the main theory, and supported by other theories. This client received art therapy 40-50 minutes a time, once a week. This research used House-Tree-Person (H-T-P) Projective Test and Kinesthetic-Family-Drawing (K-F-D) Test, Behavior Observation Form, Children Self Concept Questionnaire, and Behavior Disturbance Measurement as research measurements to evaluate and understand the main problems of this client, and the direction of the art therapy that the client needed. By that information, the proper art therapy activities were provided. This thesis was a part of the art therapy program, presented psychological process of the client during 16 art therapy activities , and psycho dynamics of the client after the therapies now. The result of the research showed: (1) The intervention of the art therapy released and supported the client’s emotion, and made consistent and stable progress of the client’s behavior, but still unable to get immediate effect to construct open and pervasive verbal communication. (2) During the process of the case study, the researcher knew deeper about self by the relevant examining, and broke the personal thinking habits to accept the varieties in life with a broader attitude.
