However, the currently advanced traveler’s information system only provides instantaneous and static travel information, which neglects the transition and dynamic road conditions in nature; therefore the provided information can’t really reduce drivers’ travel time and improve the quality of services. Based on this observation, this study applies the stochastic traffic assignment algorithms with fuzzy travel time measure and develops a basic structure for pre-trip deriver’s dynamic route information system. This system also incorporates Geographic Information System (GIS) in order to establish a preliminary guidance system for further Advanced Driver Information System (ADIS). Finally, this study gets several important results as follows. 1. Develop a prototype system that can provide pre-trip dynamic route information. 2. Display pre-trip dynamic information in real time and show the information on the digital map. That system incorporates space resources, traffic information, and friendly interface makes the guidance much easier.
