| Summary: | 碩士 === 淡江大學 === 國際事務與戰略研究所 === 88 === The thesis discusses on Taiwan’s trend of economy and trade in 90’s.This thesis also discusses Taiwan’s efforts in promoting itself as the Asia-Pacific Regional Operation Center（APROC）.
The national trade policies are usually affected by domestic and external facts and furthermore they are constrained by the rules of the politics and economics. Therefore，the research of the interaction between political and economic facts is the focal point of the national trade policies.
The thesis limits its research period between 1990 and 2000.The major research method is to study the related official publications and the data concerning the WTO、GATT、IMF、World Bank. With the latest materials，this thesis tries to look into the relevant figure concerning the future of Taiwan.
The end of the Cold War did not only mean a major change in international relations，but also meant a change in Taiwan’s economic environment. Facing an international system in transition and expansion in the PRC’s influence，Taiwan should know if Taiwan couldn’t grow up with PRC together. Taiwan will lose all of its advantage.
