碩士 === 淡江大學 === 建築學系 === 88 === Abstract： Owing to the deep concern about the the waterway spaces in urban, the topic of this design operation project is named as "Regenerate the water way space in urban". The word "regeneration" is annotated as creating a chance to recombine the relationships between the two parties, the residents and the waterway spaces. Zhuang Zi Nei stream, the site of this project, is at the southeastern part of TanShui. By observing the transforming process of Zhuang Zi Nei stream waterway spaces, it is desired to explore how does the waterway spaces influence the development of the urban environmental spaces. Another thing this project concerned about is how to improve the relationships between the residents and the waterway spaces. After further observation, it is realized that parts of the areas of the waterway spaces of Zhuang Zi Nei stream have being ignored or being used for unnecessary purposes. The quality of the water is getting worse especially around the areas where with high-density populations. The existing problems caused the unfamiliar relationships between the residents and the waterway spaces. The main task of this project is aimed to come up ways to improve the unfamiliar relationships between the residents and the waterway spaces. There are two stages in this design operation process: The first stage is a submission of the idea of the filter city. It is tempted to improve the quality of water by viewing the whole environment as a big filter. The second stage starts to re-annotate the ways to make residents living close by the waterway spaces easier by viewing from the urban scale. The whole project starts from exploring the water quality of waterway in urban. It is tempted to search for a prospect of waterway spaces by comparing the relationships among the quality of water, the residents'' behavior, and the ecosystem. The process starts from viewing the whole environment as a big filter to improve the quality of water, and then make the waterway spaces easier to be approach for residents. Moreover, it will discuss the role of waterway plays in urban, and the context and objects that influence the close by waterway spaces. Also clarify the roles those architecture which are close by the waterway should be play. It is designed to have a chance to view the urban waterway spaces from another perspective after this design operation project.
