Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 材料及資源工程系碩士班 === 88 === Based on Taiwan’s Environmental Production Administration (EPA), the amount of garbage clean-up had reached 8.8805 million tons in 1997; wherein, waste glass accounted for 5.84%; waste glass dumped in landfill accumulated to about 0.52 million tons[1,2]. Given that waste glass is not suitable for such treatment methods as landfill, incineration, compost, and is equipped with the property of complete recycle in reducing energy consumption and preventing air and water pollution[3,4], recycle and re-utilization are the most ideal treatment method for waste glass. This study employs under the operation conditions of varied pressing pressure(100~300Kgf/cm2),sintering temperature(950~1150℃),sintering time(1~5Hr.), cullet percentage by weight(0~60%)and temperature rising rate of 10℃/min.. In examining the sintering characteristics of tile clay blending with cullet. Wishing the feasibility of resource and materialization uses of waste glass. The conclusions derived from the aforesaid experimentation are following: 1.The temperature of sintering drops significantly along with the increase of cullet percentage by weight, therefore, signifying that adding cullet in the conventional tile can reduce the sintering temperature and be economical of fuel energy consumption. 2.The water absorption of the tile used in the experiment (density reaches over 90% of relative density)complies with the CNS requirement of vitrified tile(water absorption <1%) and stoneware(water absorption <6%). In addition, the acid, alkaline resistance and Mohs’ scale hardness all meet with the CNS requirement. Proving this study promising the waste glass will be recovery.
