Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 土木與防災技術研究所 === 88 === Ozone/GAC pilot plant studies were conducted at the water treatment plant. Ozonation, GAC and Ozone/GAC process were operated simultaneously for NOMs (nature organic matters) removal comparisons. The result indicated turbidity levels of raw water were removed up to 95% and 99% in conventional treatment and Ozone/GAC process, respectively. Turbidity levels were not significantly changed after ozonation. In generally, the conventional treatment process could reduce 50-60% TOC of raw water and Ozone/GAC reduce up to 80-90%. For the amount of UV254 in the raw water, 60% of UV254 and 90% of UV254 were removed in conventional treatment process and Ozone/GAC process, respectively.
Ozonation could not improve TOC removal, but did remove UV254 effectively. For removal of NOMs in this water treatment plant, Ozone/GAC and GAC process were the applicable process for the different raw water. Ozonation byproducts formation potential, such as formaldehyde and acetaldehyde, were not changed by ozonation. But formaldehyde/TOC and acetaldehyde/TOC ratios were found increased after the GAC adsorption.
