Summary: | 碩士 === 東海大學 === 化學工程學系 === 88 === This research studied the effects of screw speed and screw configuration on the twin-screw compounding of wood flour filled HDPE. The pressure profile of melt flow in a twin-screw extruder was simulated with flow analysis network ( FAN )
method. Two kinds of compatibilizers were used, and the mechanism of interface modification were discussed. The experimental results indicate that mechanical properties and thermal degradation were affected by the operating conditions of twin-screw extruder and the interface modification between plastics and wood flour through the addition of compatibilizers. The operating conditions, including screw speed, throughput rate, barrel temperature profiles, and screw configuration did not significantly affect tensile properties and impact properties, but they changed the thermal degradation or the mean gray level of composites profoundly.
