Description
Summary:碩士 === 東海大學 === 工業工程學系 === 88 === In order to quickly response customer’s demand, enterprise usually employs many application systems to improve their quality and efficiency of service. Due to the evolution of information technology and the extension of an enterprise, the existing legacy systems usually need to be enhanced. Curently, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that is viewed as the backbone of information flow within an enterprise is commonly implemented to collect, integrate and analyze the information of an entire company. However, existing MIS departments are difficult to develop such a huge system, a feasible transition strategy is employing existing commercial available ERP software package. In order to successfully migrate existing legacy to a targeted ERP system, an effective migration approach which can fully migrate the information and knowledge resides in the legacy system is necessary. The objective of this research is proposing an user-oriented system migration approach to resolve the general problems of current system migration. The proposed system migration approach will first analyze the fields on screen and the operation processes of source and target system to map the fields and processes further. Then, the relationship between the fields on screen and the fields in physical database within source system are connected by employing database checking technique to revise the original data model that is generated from source system database by reverse reengineering. Finally, migrate the data that is queried from source system database by revised data model through the screen of target system to target system.
