Description
Summary:碩士 === 實踐大學 === 企業管理研究所 === 88 === A control chart is a time-ordered plot of sample statistic. It is used to distinguish between random variability and nonrandom variability. To formulate an economic model for the design of a control chart, it is assumed that an assignable cause is looked for whenever a point falls outside of control limits. However, even if all the points are inside the control limits, if they behave in a systematic or nonrandom manner, then this is an indication that process is out of control. In this study, a Markov Decision Model will be developed to select the decision rules for detecting nonrandom patterns on a control chart.
